Now, I’m not much of a skater. And by “not much,” I mean everything I know about skateboarding comes from X Games reels, Lords of Dogtown or Tony Hawk’s ProSkater.
To be completely honest, I haven’t even seen that movie. But something I do pride myself on is bringing cool products to light. And on the cool scale, from parking tickets to the Dark Knight, Hydroflex skateboards are definitely approaching Batman territory.
The Future of Skateboarding
Hydroflex has been in the action sports market since the early 2000’s, building high-end surfboards from German engineering. Only now they’re expanding their line to include light, strong, and durable skateboards. Originally conceived from using the leftovers from their surfboard line, Hydroflex uses their patented 3D-Glassing™ Technology to bring you the sort of skateboard Marty McFly would shed a tear over.
Out of foam, fiber, resin, and a pretty sweet honeycomb core comes the board you wish you owned. With customizable colors and an eye-catching design, Hydroflex makes their composite skateboard flexible, lightweight, and waterproof, through their high-tech manufacturing process. Color intensity and variation is unique to every board, making each one as distinct as your skate style.
Their Glassing Technology bonds both sides of the board through the core and reinforcements to help with force from impacts surround the rail. There are also integrated tail and nose guards to prevent wear from use, all made from 2-part urethane hard plastic, which has been shown to be hold up better than wood.
